This is a privately run reference site, not part of an Oceana County or Michigan government office. Its role has firm limits:

- Official background checks and criminal records cannot be retrieved through this site
- Only a qualified lawyer can advise how a charge or case applies to one person
- Addresses, fees, and phone numbers should be confirmed with the listed office
Only the issuing office, such as the sheriff, a court clerk, or Michigan State Police, can supply an official criminal record.
